Saturday 8th August - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – sunny and hot.

I do like heading out early to take a few weather pics as it gives me something to do before breakfast so as Mag set off on her prom walk I drove down to Felixstowe Ferry at 6.45 on another hot and sunny day. I had my usual walk around the boatyard where the tide from the Deben was very high and blue was the prominent colour before heading for home to send some pics to the telly. Then I was well chuffed to get one of the pics on BBC Look East for the second day running, on a roll!
As for the rest of the day we had no plans, after breakfast in the garden Mag headed off to a neighbour who she looked after their cats while they were on holiday for a cuppa while I did my exercises in a sunny and hot back garden, only dozing off once! I did have one eye on the breeze as there might have been a sea breeze in the afternoon, as its been a brilliant year for tomatoes I picked loads of different sizes, shapes and colour and ate them with a yummy ham roll:) By 2.30 the wind was still light so I made a flask, packed a couple of chocolate bars and we headed out for a walk down to the seafront. Round the pier and along a busy prom with loads of people enjoying the beach with a nice onshore breeze keeping the temperature cooler! We stopped at out seat in the Spa Gardens just past the Theatre for our cuppa and snack before continuing to The Hut where a party with a good singer doing Elvis, the oldies were loving it. Up to the town where we needed a few things before heading for home, knackered!
